Today's the deadline for filing your taxes if asked the IRS for a six-month extension back in April. So if you're still crunching numbers and gathering up paperwork, get the lead out. File your tax return electronically to have it processed quicker. But if you prefer snail mail, send it certified mail, return receipt. Some people say why waste money on the extra shipping, but I think paying a few dollars to ensure that you have proof you mailed your return on time is worth it.
